What we’ve been up to… sipping “bubble” tea in Notting Hill
It’s been over a year since Bubbleology arrived in London and now a new lab has headed West to Notting Hill (45 Pembridge Road) for the capital’s growing army of bubble tea lovers. The peculiar Taiwanese beverage combines iced or hot fruity (or milk) teas with brown tapioca balls, and once you get your head around the idea of chewing while slurping, they’re actually quite fun to drink. I recently swung by the new locale to try their exclusive passionfruit and cucumber and a special cocktail of strawberry and passionfruit (with ‘popping’ strawberry boba). Refreshing!
